Changes...

You may be asking yourself… why is this site keep changing? Two simple words ‘Virtual Chapter’. Or in geek speak, Social Network. The site is built on Joomla!, it is nothing more than CMS (Content Management System). But that is only the beginning we need to expand on the member experience. The interface has been updated for a fresh look that makes it much easier to navigate. As web site grows, we need to make sure that content is easy to find. The result is using a very popular layout template JA Purity.

The next step is laying down the framework to get things moving. An exciting new feature is expanded profiles. The back end for this is Community Builder. This allows for more detail to be added to your profile, including a place for your photo. If you have not logged in since November 1st, I suggest giving it a try. After you login, click on the ‘Profile Details’ to update your information and upload a photo of yourself. We will be expanding the Who’s Online to include your photo. Nothing is better than placing a face to a name.

We have also added an event calendar. This just about says it all. We will post Special Event related to the construction industry. But the most important item is to know when CSINext webinars will be taking place. Also the first new feature added was the IP2Map… this shows us were the last 100 visit are around the world.

Of course this is only the beginning. We have more in the works to enhance the ‘Virtual Chapter’ experience. Just to give you a teaser, we are working on real time Chat, Forums, Photo Galleries and any other enhancement to innovate the Social Network experience for CSI and the construction industry.

and now for something completely different...

The letter "O" is the oldest letter. It has not changed in shape since its adoption in the Phoenician alphabet c. 1300 B.C.
