Well, the year 2020 is off to a slow start for the ‘Artichokes Life’. But that is not the case for me personally. If you have seen past blogs about travel, you know I’m on the road a lot. This year has started the same way, yet with a vengeance.
I just got back home after 3 weeks of on the road and pulling extra hours at work. I’ve started a couple of blog series, that I hope to get back on track and start posting them. So, for now, I’m on a little pause. I’m only talking a week or two. Here is a look into what is coming up for 2020.
- The Remodel. This is a nice insight into my upstairs remodel, what happens what an Architect becomes a General Contractor.
- The Computer Build. I have had some fun putting together and upgrading a Mac Pro.
- Substantial Completion. I’ve written about this in the past. But my current absence is the result of trying to do this over the past 2 months.
- Remembering. A fun look at days past.
But the real pause is what is going on behind the scenes at CSINext. You may have notice a new link at CSINext ‘Events’. CSINext is partnering with the National Concrete & Corrosion Symposium (NCCS) and hosting the registration and sponsorship enrollment for NCCS. If you would like to find out more, I would encourage you visit the link and plan a trip to Ohio this spring. https://uakron.edu/ncercamp/events/national-concrete-symposium A lot of cool and exciting stuff going on in the world of concrete (I never thought I would write that). But you truly don't want to miss our very own Chapter President Thad Goodman, FCSI, CCPR speaking.
The real excitement for CSINext is just around the corner. As much as I want to let the cat out of the bag, I’m going wait at least a week. Just rest assured, that I have had my programmers’ hat on, and we have real benefits in the works for everyone with a smart phone. Finally, during this winter, be warm and be safe. Cheer!
…and now for something completely different.
There are fewer real flamingos than fake flamingos in the world.
